On July 22, 2005 the Open Science Grid was declared "Open for business"
ending a transition phase for Consortium members from the Grid3
infrastructure. With more than 50 participating sites and 15,000
connected CPUs, Open Science Grid is now one of the largest collaborative
science grids in operation. In this talk I'll present a description of
what and who the Open Science Grid is and how it operates as well as plans
for moving forward with our major partners: the LCG and TeraGrid projects.
