Abstract:
The following document outlines the steps and procedures that UCSD used to eliminate or limit read/write NFS mounts of directories in our OSG cluster. UCSD made these modifications to the standard OSG installation as part of ongoing efforts to improve the stability and scaleability of the UCSD Tier 2 Centers OSG Computer Element (CE). Overall the changes have produced very satisfactory results in both stability and scaleability. Please note this configuration should still be considered experimental.
