Extending Science Through Enhanced National CyberInfrastructure (ExTENCI) is a joint project of the Open Science Grid (OSG) and TeraGrid/XSEDE, funded by the National Science Foundation. The goal of the project is to: Develop and provide production quality enhancements to the national cyberInfrastructure (CI) that will enable specific science applications to more easily use both OSG and XSEDE or broaden access to a capability to both XSEDE and OSG users. This assessment of the project focuses on the metric of science use of ExTENCI capabilities during the first 22 months of the project.
